Here's something you can do

Friend -- Last week, this administration announced that it plans to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement -- a short-sighted move that threatens our security, our economy, our air and water, and our future. But I'm still hopeful -- because it's not all up to them. Over the past 72 hours, we've seen an outpouring of energy, passion, and collaboration from people around the country -- from governors to mayors, businesses leaders to universities, and of course, engaged citizens. All of these people are committed to working together to achieve the goals laid out in the agreement. We're coming together to address the threats of climate change, whether this administration wants to lead or not. Today, you can join us by signing the pledge. Signing on means committing to a three-step pledge -- to reduce your own carbon pollution, support U.S. institutions, cities, and states that are taking strong climate action, and to keep up the pressure on Congress to pass real climate change legislation. Paris represented the first time the whole world joined together in the fight against climate change. So most of all, signing the pledge means you're still in -- still a part of our push towards a better world for our kids and grandkids.
