AIBS Identifies Emerging Public Policy Leaders:
Joanna "Jo" Downes Bairzin, at the University of California, Berkeley, and Karena Nguyen, at the University of South Florida, have been recognized with the 2018 Emerging Public Policy Leadership Award.




AIBS Member Donates $15,000 to Support Grad Student Policy Award:
AIBS is pleased to announce that one of our individual members has just generously donated $15,000 to support the Emerging Public Policy Leadership Award (EPPLA) program. The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, noted that AIBS is an important organization doing important work.

2018 AIBS Congressional Visits Day:
Join AIBS for our annual Congressional Visits Day in Washington, DC. This event is an opportunity for scientists to meet with their members of Congress about the importance of federal support for biological research and education. 




AIBS Recognizes Staff Member:
Please join us in recognizing and celebrating the AIBS 4th quarter 2017 employee, Arati Deshmukh! In addition to other assignments, Arati's work supporting the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative includes developing notes for the GoMRI Consortia Director and PI calls, as well as the communications staff and open outreach calls. Her work has been stellar!
