On the twenty-fifth anniversary of the article, “World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity”, more than 15,000 scientists come together to support the updated warning. 




AIBS Writes to EPA Administrator Pruitt on Science Advisory Boards:
AIBS weighed in on a recent directive by Scott Pruitt, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The letter pushes back against a new prohibition on scientists who receive funding from the EPA being able to serve on the agency's science advisory boards.

Are you a science graduate student looking to make a difference in science policy and funding? Applications are being accepted for the 2018 AIBS Emerging Public Policy Leadership Award. 




AIBS Urges Congress to Reconsider Tax Reform Provisions:
In a November 13, 2017 letter to Congress, AIBS submitted a letter urging Congress to carefully consider how various tax code revisions might have a long-lasting and negative impact on America's global competitiveness. 







AIBS Council Representatives - Register Now for 2017 Council Meeting:
The 2017 meeting of the AIBS Council of Member Societies and Organizations, Engaging Policymakers: Opportunities for Biological Sciences Organizations, will be held in Washington, DC, on December 4, 2017. AIBS Council Representatives may now register for the meeting.
