SumOfUs.org : Un-bee-lievable news!

BREAKING: We've just won the first round of a lawsuit to save the bees, but it's not over yet.
Pesticide giant Dow is gearing up to appeal to the French Supreme Court -- and we've still got round two of the case to go.
Now more than ever we need your support. Please can you chip in $1 to help our legal case to save the bees?

France just approved a new bee-killing neonicotinoid from Dow Chemical called Sulfoxaflor -- in defiance of the first ever outright ban of neonics that we fought so hard to pass.
So with our partner, Génération Futures -- a French environmental group -- we got straight to work and took the decision to court. The first round of hearings were last week, and we won!
But it's not over yet.
So far, we've got an emergency lift of the authorisation. The next step is a hearing to get a total repeal and our partners have already filed the case. We're well on our way to victory.
But we've just heard Dow Chemicals is appealing our victory to the French Supreme Court. Dow's not giving up, its doubling down.
If we lose, it means the French neonics ban starting in 2018 might not be worth the paper its written on. All our work to get it passed in the first place will be undermined. But if we win, it will defend one of the most important victories for bees we've ever had.
The pesticide industry has virtually unlimited amounts of money to spend on lawyers, we we're counting on you to chip in to the legal fund to see this fight through. The first hearings were already very costly -- and we need to pay big money if we want to win the case in court, fight back against any appeals, and repeal the authorisation once and for all. This will be a long and hard fight and we need your support to win.
Can you chip in $1 to help save the bees and fund this lawsuit to enforce France’s bee-killing pesticide ban?

Yes, I'll chip in $1 to help Génération Future pay for legal fees and win the battle to ban all neonics.
The pesticide industry is using the phase-in period to find any way they can to poke loopholes in the ban. In the case of sulfoxaflor, they've created a new pesticide that acts like a neonic and kills bees like a neonic, but they're claiming it's not really a neonic and should be legal.
And believe it or not, the regulators agreed with them. But our victory in the first hearing has shown -- the courts agree with us.
France has seen a huge decline in honey production and bee-keepers are warning that the approval of sulfoxaflor could trigger a new “bee-mageddon."
But the law is on our side, and we can win this case -- if we can raise enough money to see it through.
