Arguably the most prestigious award in the world, the Nobel Prize has the power to surpass national, cultural, and political barriers by honoring those working towards a brighter future for all. Last week, this great honor was bestowed upon a new group of Nobel Laureates, prompting us at National Geographic video to explore the often-peculiar history of the prize. From researching the life of Alfred Nobel (he also invented dynamite!) to hearing the inspired speeches of past recipients, helping produce this video was an emotional roller coaster. |
